What is offered?

A wide variety of surgical and medical interventions can be offered by The Site Vet from within your usual veterinary practice. This includes:
Eyelid/Adnexal abnormalities (E.g. Entropion, Ectropion, 'Cherry Eye' surgery)
Aberrant hair disorders (Trichiasis, Distichiasis, Ectopic Cilia)
Corneal disease and surgery (Keratectomy, Corneo-Conjuntival Transposition graft, Conjunctival pedicle graft)
Uveitis investigations and treatment
Glaucoma investigation and medical treatment
Conjunctivitis investigations and treatment
Cataract assessment prior to referral to a specialist cataract surgeon

What is not currently offered:
Unfortunately, the following cannot be offered from within your usual veterinary practice. Should you require these services, The Site Vet can recommend a centre that offers and specialises in these services.

How to book an appointment with The Site Vet at your practice:
If you would like your pet to be seen by The Site Vet, please speak with your vet who will be able to make a referral request. You may direct your vet to the website if they have not used the service before. For urgent referrals, please telephone the request.
Prior to your pet’s appointment, please ensure they have been fasted (unless they are Diabetic or under four months of age). Please complete the history questionnaire prior to the appointment either electronically or bring the completed questionnaire along to your appointment.
Please apply all ocular medications as prescribed, with the exception of ointments which should not be applied within two hours of your pet’s scheduled appointment.
If your pet is anxious when visiting the vets, please speak to your vet who will be able to prescribe medication to be administered prior to the appointment to reduce their anxiety and enable a comfortable, stress -free examination.
