Veterinary Ophthalmologist 

Dr Ashley Davies

RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology

Ashley graduated from the university of Nottingham’s school of veterinary medicine and science. Following graduation, he worked in a number of small animal practices in the East Midlands as well as at a multi-disciplinary referral hospital, he also taught final year veterinary students in his role as associate lecturer.

Following this, he was appointed as clinical director of a three-site veterinary practice in Nottingham where he also mentored new graduate veterinary surgeons. During this time, Ashley completed his certificate in small animal ophthalmology and was awarded Distinction.

Ashley is a member of the British association of veterinary ophthalmologists and regularly attends conferences around the world on subjects related to veterinary ophthalmology.

Ashley has 3 dogs: Sid, Eddie and Winston and 2 cats: Wilfred and betsy. In his spare time, he enjoys long walks in the countryside with Sid and Eddie and also rescues and rehabilitates wildlife casualties.

Internal Medicine Consultant

Dr Tiago Henriques

MVM MRCVS

ECVIM-CA Board Eligible Internal Medic

Tiago graduated from the University of Évora in Portugal in 2013. Following graduation, he worked near Lisbon before moving to the UK in 2014. Tiago worked in general practice and has completed two general rotating internships and a medicine specific internship at three large multi-disciplinary referral centres.

Tiago enrolled on an ECVIM residency program delivered jointly by Pride Veterinary Referrals and the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. Tiago completed his residency in 2021 and following this worked for 3 years as an Internal Medicine Clinician in a large multidisciplinary hospital in Swindon.

Tiago has worked on multiple veterinary publications and is currently preparing to sit his final certifying exam to gain Diplomat status. Tiago enjoys all aspects of internal medicine; he is particularly interested in intensive and critical care, gastroenterology and endoscopy, exotic infectious diseases, and using novel minimally invasive techniques to manage his cases.

Tiago enjoys training his dogs, exercising and baking. He also enjoys escape rooms,  using his excellent problem solving skills.
